]]>The meeting was presided over by Chairman Mohamed Amadu Sesay.
In his opening remarks, the chairman, Mohamed Amadu Sesay alias “O Level Sesay” welcomed everybody for attending the meeting, saying that, the operations of District Development Co-ordination Committee is significant and it will ensured there’s more development, accountability and reporting for the district.
This has started to address the issues of project duplication and service delivery among INGOs, NGOs, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) as well as non-state actors for effective and efficient service delivery in the district, said by “Chairman O Level Sesay. “
He reiterated on section 20 of the Local Government Acts which give Council the mandate for effective and efficient service delivery in their localities, also section 23,which gives the mandate to monitor and certified the operations of MDA’s and IPs within the district.
He assured everyone that his administration’s aims is to fulfil President Bio Agenda and his Commitments to develop kenema District.
As usual the meeting was centered on operations of council, Devolved Sectors and implementing partners in kenema District.
The meeting further established a platform for the public to understand DDCC efforts in providing the needed services as an independent entity charged with the responsibility in ensuring that NGOs, Local Councils and MDAs have good relationships among themselves in driving local development.
Several developmental issues were deliberated upon in relation to ensuring that sustainable and quality services in the district.

]]>Today the 27th February,2023 in the Conference Hall of Kenema District Council, Chairman O level present his score card summarising tangible developments done under his hegemony as chairman of Kenema District Council in the last five years.
Final session of Council speaks to successes of Kenema District Council in the last five years. The public were thrilled and amazed by the presentation of Chairman O level Sesay in abridge 130 slides comprising of deliverables in roads, education , health ,agriculture ,womem’s empowerment amomgst others .
The session further established a platform for the populist to asked series of questions and give Testimonies, which they referred to Chief Administrator, Ahmed Shekuba Koroma as one of the seasoned and experience Administrator and the Chairman for been result oriented .
Delivering keynote messages, Chairman O Level Sesay hailed Chief Administrator and his team as the catalysts for all these achievement.
*”Our Councillors are leaving with smiles on account of a good result, therefore, we do expect them soon because the pointers are morethan enough to secure a second term”* .
He concluded by referring to the management as a better and reasonable administration that knows how to manage people without necessariliy complaining.

]]>The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) is a body established by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 5 2001) to administer a Social Security Scheme that provides financial security to all employees in Sierra Leone in the form of Old Age retirement,Invalidity and Survivors’ Benefits based on Social Insurance principles.
The purpose of the visit according to Mr. Saidu Mohamed Bah is to sensitize staff members in order to deepen their knowledge on the scheme and the benefits staff members stand to gain. He furthered that the TRUST is currently embarking on a robust sensitization across MDAs to explain to their clients as to why they should repose confidence and trust on NASSIT.
According to the PRO, the TRUST was established by an Act of Parliament in order to solve societal problems.
Explaining further about the scheme the benefits Officer, Mr. Kormoh lamented on the challenges the TRUST is having with its clients which include amongst others the inconsistencies on clients’ documentation, especially on the date of birth of some clients and the failure for them to update their information when required, adding that this particular engagement was to ensure that the TRUST.
carried out its mandate and to receive first hand information from its clients.
The object of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust is to provide retirement and other benefits to meet the contingency needs of workers and their dependants, said Mr. Bah.
The meeting further established the platform for the team to do a series of presentations on their activities and procedures, followed by questions and answers session
